THE
PLACE
The SPA is located in Bassano
Romano and it is surrounded by the roman hillsides.
The site is composed by local
rocky terrain that steps down into a flat area. This landscape gave birth to a
natural basin where the building reflects itself.
Settled between rocks and
water, this SPA is dedicated (to) the psychophysical human wellness.
THE SHAPE
The building is thinked as a
monolithic block of rock that arises from the rocks site and leans itself to
the valley.
This block, the core of the
internal SPA spaces, is wrapped with a second wooden skin that is woven by
little cymbals, with this techniques the facades will play the music of the
building.
The wellness of the guests
and the beautiful views of the landscape are related together by three galleries,
that are built with a steel structure.
THE
NATURAL STONE
The interns of the central
block are made of coated and puttied travertine, floors are made of travertine vein cutted and
the walls are made of travertine cross cutted.
Exteriors will be made
of peperino scraps (typical lave stone
of Viterbo) placed in vertically direction. This kind of manufacture will give
to the block a rough look that will fits perfectly to into the SPA landscape.

VIEWS AND CONNECTION WITH THE
LANDSCAPE
The wellness center is
reached by two panoramic paths.
The first one is easily
(accessible) practible to by disabled, it is a little slightly downhill street
that borders the rocky walls till the valley.
The second one is more
impressive because is immersed between the rocks and it goes straight down till
the monolithic core of the SPA.
From all the windows is
possible to see the most beautiful landscape views, specially the three colored
galleries permit to contemplate the valley.
Big rooflights are lighting
up interns and connect guests directly with the sky.
