Located on a busy street in Sendai’s emergent entertainment district, this 7-storey restaurant tower was designed to accommodate a variety of bars and eateries.  Because the specific size and configuration of the tenant spaces were to be determined at a later date, it was necessary to develop a broad range of spaces and organization opportunities.

                                    To accomplish this, the standard circulation system was supplemented with a series of interconnected voids which allowed each floor to be connected in a spiral arrangement and multiplied the number of access routes to each tenant space. It also enabled numerous possibilities for the grouping and arrangement of tenant spaces, whereby two tenants could share a common seating area or a single tenant could occupy multiple levels.

Additionally, four variations in floor height and a flexibly organized mechanical system, further enhance opportunities for a variety of spatial arrangements
