Trejde Natur and PK3 have an ambition to make Copenhagen Harbor a living, accessible, useful and recreational area in Copenhagen. With a vision, we take an look at the urban harbor and inscribe the development of the port of the city's historical development, but also show the port's current recreational potential and utility functions.

House of Water

"The desire for a better reputation will not create a better country, but if you can create a better country, it goes automatically to reputation." Said one of the world's leading experts in nation branding. Imagine if the Danish water sector worked together to create a water house in Copenhagen harbor. A place that all visitors could experience while learning about global water challenges and solutions. Knowledge, water and nature merge in a new type of contextual architecture that gives more to the city and the harbor than it takes. A notable architecture in soft concrete folds, creating both space and landscape to interact with the water.

Bird Island

Imagine if there was a Bird Island middle of the harbor. A green island surrounded by reefs that takes you back to the landscape that surrounded the first settlements in Copenhagen, an island where the diverse biodiversity and natural unregulated development is the focal point. Bird Island is the dream of creating an unregulated island in Copenhagen harbor, which can act as a facilitator of the historic landscape Copenhagen built, and could attract a rich birdlife to be used as an experimental station for the development of the resort's biodiversity. The island will be the ideal destination for bird lovers, anglers, seashell collectors, biologists, school classes to be taught in biology, history, geography and ordinary citizens who simply want to enjoy the possibility of the long afternoon, while also experiencing the unregulated nature in the middle of Copenhagen harbor.

Krøyer Pøl

Imagine if Copenhagen harbor invited us to stay close to the water's edge, the water and under the water's surface. Krøyer Pøl dream is a performing space that combines next-generation harbor bath with the water utility. A part of the blue plan is to make the area around Krøyer Pøl an attractive place for the port’s many fish and plant species. Combined with the direct access to the water surface Krøyer Pøl can be an attractive place for fishing, harvesting of aquatic plants and steam use. The project's location next to the world famous Michelin restaurant Noma will present the Copenhagen harbor as a clean and attractive resource for the restaurant's many national and international guests. A port that supports the Nordic gastronomic ambition of a minimal distance from farm to fork - from the port to Noma. With Krøyer Pøl, the harbor can showcase the Nordic ingredients and Copenhagen sustainable development.

Sports Sea

Imagine if there was a recreation area in the middle of the harbor. An island where the water surface is stretched with activities that invite the townspeople into the water and creates new exciting recreational opportunities close to nature. Sports Sea is the dream of a continuation of Copenhagen's historical legacy in a contemporary and activity-based context, linking the experience of nature and sport closely. Sports Sea will draw life into the harbor that makes this an attractive place for swimmers, kayaker, divers, winter bathers and other water sports. The port "soft" users need a safe place where they should not fear the big, fast sailing boats and harbor buses.

Opera Park

Imagine if a wealth of sounds were audible in an Opera Park, connecting the opera with its water surroundings. An Opera Park offering seductive, sensual music experiences on the edge of the harbor. Opera Park is the dream of a temporary, recreational use of the large grass area at the Opera House. A educational dream of making high culture by turning the Opera House inside out, and giving park visitors an opportunity to listen to opera enchanting the dramatic world. Opera park will bring with music, its flowering cherry trees, magnolias and plans that can withstand the salty microclimate offering a sensory whole experience out of the ordinary. Arising in the coming years will be new connections across Copenhagen via the four new bike and walkways that will connect Nyhavn with Christianshavn island. Opera park will in continuation of these compounds to islet constitute a new public destination that can attract life to the area and support efforts to bind the city closer together across the harbor.
