About Perkins+Will
Perkins+Will collaborates with globally recognized clients to set worldwide standards for design innovation and service. The firm recognizes the knowledge and insights gained from its colorful history with every new endeavor. Lawrence B. Perkins and Philip Will, Jr. (college roommates at Cornell University) established the firm in 1935, quickly gaining national and international recognition for client service and design accomplishments in education and healthcare. Expansion was fast paced. The firm was soon garnering acclaim for its corporate + commercial + civic, higher education, and science + technology work. Perkins+Will established a stronghold in the Interiors discipline that reaches across all areas of the practice; Branded Environments, Planning + Strategies, and Urban Design expertise evolved in recent decades.
The firm was able to leverage its core competencies and global reputation and opened offices around the U.S., forging success stories across North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Today, Perkins+Will has completed projects in multiple countries around the globe. It is privileged to be among the nation's most respected design firms with 75 years of award-winning work and the distinction of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Firm of the Year Award and the 2010 National Building Museum Honor Award for Civic Innovation. Perkins+Will celebrates its rich history and continues to build a legacy that leads its clients into the future.
Sustainable, high-performance, and environmentally conscious design is the cornerstone of Perkins+Will's practice that informs every project. Among the staff, more than 1,500, are more LEED Accredited Professionals than any other design firm.
