FC2STUDIO's designs celebrate light-filled open spaces with a powerful relation to the site and landscape. With each project, a contemporary modern approach to design is expressed as respect for the existing conditions combined with a fascination for finding innovative solutions tailored to meet the client's needs. Traditional material palettes, such as concrete, wood, and steel, are used throughout projects in combination with new materials with an eye towards creating timeless forms. 
The studio's culture is relaxed and non-hierarchical; members of the small firm work with clients in an engaging, shared process to find smart and sustainable solutions. Although the firm specializes in modern design, FC2STUDIO has no particular emphasis on any particular building type.
