About Davis Brody Bond Aedas
Davis Brody Bond Aedas is among the nation’s leading architectural design firms. Known for innovative solutions to complex design challenges, our work encompasses university facilities, housing, corporate offices, industrial and institutional buildings.
We are the Design Architect for the National September 11 Museum and as Associate Architect, we are executing the design of the National September 11 Memorial at the World Trade Center. Currently the firm is designing the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, as a member of the competition winning design consortium.
We have been honored with more than 100 major design awards including the American Institute of Architects Firm Award, the highest honor given to an architectural practice as well as the 2000 Presidential Design Award for Excellence. Our work is regularly published in the national and international design press.
Among our commissions are such diverse projects as a new infill building and restoration of the historic New York Public Library, research facilities for Harvard University, industrial facilities in Central and South America for Valeo, the Data Processing and Administrative Center for the U.S. Census Bureau, and a pediatric emergency department for NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
Headquartered in New York and with offices in Washington, DC; Seattle, Washington; and São Paulo, Brazil, Davis Brody Bond Aedas is led by five partners: Steven M. Davis, William H. Paxson, Christopher K. Grabé, Carl F. Krebs and David K. Williams. They direct an experienced senior staff of architects and designers with project management and technical expertise. The team which supports them includes technical specialists, CAD technicians, graphic designers, model makers, and administrative staff.
Davis Brody Bond Aedas recently expanded its boundaries by becoming a member of the Aedas group. Aedas, a global architectural practice of 2,000 staff working in 40 offices across six regions on four continents, has a major presence in the United Kingdom, Asia and the Middle East. Through the exchange of ideas, staff and resources throughout the group, we have expanded and strengthened our services for existing clients and practice areas as well as broadened our geographic reach to both developed and emerging markets.
