Arquitectos Anónimos is a Portuguese label founded in the end of 2006, based in Porto; it organizes an opened space stimulating the work as a kind of an individual suplantation, liberating its co-authorships from their identity, finding and founding a reinforced new one – daily. Primarily an over reaction in the contemporary contect of the exaggerated weight of authorship “individuality,” AA is becoming more an anththesis to a pseudonym or a fictonal name as only way to shelt the expanded ourselves, facing that not longer, nobody owns his ideas exclusively.

That opens a new highway restoring a certain inaccessible image of no “dialogue architect” or quite feared “untouchable idea” from our education heritage; closet to people we work with , like direct commissioners, clients, promoters, publishers, co-authorships, team members, making them feel they’re part of the solution discovery.

We don’t ambition the ideal client, always agreeing, the perfect place, the unanimity in the speech of beautiful, the monothematic architecture, because it would exclude us from the most pleasant role we play. Arquitectos Anónimos is property of firm AtelierAA Lda since end of 2007 and his co-founders, Filipe Afonso and Vasco Magalhaes.
