Architizer is looking for an intern to assist the Editor in Chief in our Soho office this fall semester, August 30 through mid-December. 

Responsibilities include: 

·         scanning RSS feeds and print media for editorial ideas and pitching stories to the editor

·         writing for the Architizer blog

·         promoting web content to social media (Twitter, Facebook, Buzzfeed, Tumblr)

·         outreach and content swap with other design and lifestyle websites

·         light Photoshop work for image galleries

Our ideal intern is:

·         skilled at research and tuned in to current affairs

·         a good writer who can work quickly and is impervious to writer’s block

·         adept at multi-tasking while staying organized

·         able to self-edit and eager to learn

Note: a background in architecture is not necessary, though interest in the field is a given. Applicants with experience on the art, design, or culture beat should conceivably be able to dig in and report on the architecture world at large.

The position is part-time and flexible; also, paid! 

Architizer is a rapidly-growing network of architects and their projects with an open-source submission structure and a loyal readership. This summer we are re-launched the site with expanded editorial content and a broader look at the architecture/design scene.
