About 4a Architekten GmbH
4a - in 1990 four architects, Matthias Burkart, Eberhard Pritzer (a partner until 2001), Alexander von Salmuth and Ernst Ulrich Tillmanns founded the studio 4a. Following graduation they had all previously worked as project architects at Behnisch und Partner in Stuttgart.
By addressing the emotionality of space and buildings the alliance between working environments and leisure-time requirements nowadays forms the focal point of 4a's work. Architecture is a process that is continually developing. During the planning stage the sense of vitality that emerges among the team of some 30 employees opens their eyes to the task at hand, enabling them to come up with a holistic solution that includes and takes into account many different aspects.
