Go Shopping With Roman & Williams, Courtesy Of 1stdibs

February 9, 2013

Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer of Roman and Williams

Unless you’ve been living under a rock—hibernating, perhaps—you know that large swaths of the U.S. are currently enduring some serious winter weather. Not that we’re complaining. Who doesn’t love a good snowstorm? It’s the perfect excuse to spend the entire day relaxing indoors! And luckily we have the Saturday Shopper, courtesy of 1stdibs, to help keep us entertained this weekend.

1stdibs is an online marketplace offering amazing products that appeal to dealers, designers, and collectors. Every Saturday, the site presents a roundup of items handpicked by well-known tastemakers. Todays’s Shopper comes courtesy of the husband-and-wife design team Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, of Roman & Williams—the firm responsible for seductive New York interiors such as The Standard Hotel. “Late at night, we love to wander the pages of 1stdibs,” they said. “It’s like our own private library of extraordinary objects open all night, with no one else around.”

Here, we feature a few of the duo’s top picks from the site. Head over to 1stdibs to see the full list!
