Featured Projects: Divine Island Retreats By Fearon Hay

January 21, 2013

With a cold front bearing down on the East Coast this week, the sun-loving staff here at Architizer is itching to head south of the equator, where summer is in full swing. We went hunting for some dreamy getaways—you know, sleek villas in breathtaking landscapes, similar to those featured in our “Playboy Architecture” collection—and we found two fetching homes in New Zealand, both by the Auckland-based firm Fearon Hay. The first, the concrete-and-glass Island Retreat, offers stunning views of Matiatia Bay. The other, Storm Cottage, is a timber box that can be tightly sealed up if the weather turns cranky. Visit our content partner Remodelista to read more about these two divine projects!
