Architizer + WSJ: Helping Architecture Go Public (And Viral)

January 17, 2013

Jeanne Gang’s “Aqua”: the WSJ profiled the architect in October

Last week we announced our media partnership with the Wall Street Journal for the Architizer A+ Awards. That doesn’t just mean the paper—which enjoys the largest circulation of any print newspaper in the country—but also the WSJ Magazine; together, they reach over three million readers around the world. Readers interested in business, politics, culture, and, yes, architecture. Readers who command influence in their respected fields,  who are behind the creation of the kind of civic and cultural projects that enrich our cities. Readers who hire architects.

For this, and many other reasons, the Architizer A+ Awards is a unique opportunity to get your work noticed by fans and urban changers alike. Our partnership with the Journal—plus our standing partnerships with the Huffington Post, Coolhunting, and GOOD—makes perfect sense: not only are we aligning architects with cultivated readers, but we are also helping to expand architecture and what that means to the public at large. We aim to do this through the awards program and the content that it generates. It so happens that this agenda fits right alongside WSJ’s own architecture and design coverage, which includes buildings, archi-gossip, controversies, and even things like the Post-Itable. Sound familiar?

To illustrate the point, we’ve gathered some of the WSJ’s best architecture stories from the last couple of months. Click through to see them all! And remember, the last—seriously, the very last—day to enter the Architizer A+ Awards is January 25th, meaning you’ve got just over a week. Don’t hold off!
