This landed in my inbox Friday morning: Marc! I’m battling a crazy deadline and I might not make the award deadline because of it… is there something to do about it? My material is ready-ish….

That was the nicest message I got about the A+ Awards deadline that passed yesterday, on 12.21.12. The meaner ones suggested that Architizer was waging a war on Christmas by having a deadline so close to the holiday break. It’s not true! We love Christmas, and every holiday from every denomination, thank you very much.

Still, these emails troubled us. We don’t want anyone to think we’re a Grinch, or even the slightest bit Grinch-ish.

Since it’s the season of giving, and since so many of you contacted us about a deadline extension, we have decided to grant your holiday wishes! The absolutely positively last day to submit a project is now January 25 at midnight Pacific time.

We have some huge news coming up about a major media partner that is joining the A+ Awards, guaranteeing that even more people will see your amazing submissions. They will join our partners at the Huffington Post, GOOD, and Cool Hunting.
