Why We Liked This:

The Laboratory for Infectious Diseases, what? This projects looks and sounds like a set from “The Walking Dead”, someplace where our hero survivalists would seek shelter for a time, get comfortable, before having to blow the place up and take to the streets once again. The building IRL holds 200 employees dedicated to the research of virology and immunology. This line of work required a division of laboratory and common spaces, which are centered around the atrium. Apparently, the design of the facade references the virus strands to, you know, express to the layman on the street the building’s function. Duh.
