Remember how life-changing those spectacles that dimmed in the sunlight were? Finally, that personalized technology has been created for the grand scale! Dynamic Glass, by new California start-up View, adjusts tint levels for entire windows: floor-to-ceiling, small-office, skylights, you name it. Various levels of darkness can be adjusted either automatically or with the simple push of a button. Soon we will never have to squint out a shiny window ever again! Read more.
Dynamic Glass not only adjusts the intensity of light coming through windows, but it also helps control heat and glare. Integrating the new system into homes and offices could reduce heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning costs by 25%, possibly even eliminating the need for blinds or temperature control systems.
The system is super intelligent and can either be adjusted manually with a quick and easy iPhone app or left on autopilot. The very first example of this amazing technology in action can be found in San Francisco’s W Hotel very soon!
