Happy Birthday To Us: Architizer’s Top Ten Blog Posts Ever
November 5, 2012
Did you notice? Architizer turned three (!) this past Friday, and we’re finally coming round to celebrating. We launched at the Storefront for Art and Architecture on November 3, 2009, with a couple hundred projects and a few big firms in our database, plus a small News section we started as a “testing ground” for some of our most fanciful (if unsuccessful) ideas. Needless to say, we’ve grown. Today, the database stands 45,418 projects and 11,930 firms deep, while the blog holds 3,635 articles (and counting). And we have only you readers, architects, and fans to thank for that!
We figured we’d take a look back into the vault to round up our top 10 blog posts ever. We were surprised at how varied the content was–from “bio-infrastructures” and abandoned Chinese amusements parks”to “man-made clouds”and Star Wars blueprints–and less surprised to find a Zaha post or two in there. Today, we’re a long ways away from our first post (haha!), and we promise we’ll only continue to get better, sharper, faster. So go on, have a look!
