October 26, 2012
Last fall we wrote about the Capital Hill Residence, the extravagant spaceship-like house designed by Zaha Hadid and located in the hills of Barvikha, just west of Moscow. New details have emerged concerning the concrete villa, namely the subject of the home’s intended future resident, none other than international supermodel (and reportedly colossal diva) Naomi Campbell. Read more.
The home, which also happens to be the first of its kind for Zaha, was commissioned by Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin. The Russian magnate, who serves as the chairman of the Board of Directors of Capital Group, has built the futuristic home for his girlfriend Naomi Campbell with the intention of presenting the mansion to her as a wedding gift.

According to the Pravda newspaper, the 2,500 square meter residence will house a laundry list of luxuries, including a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, Russian bath, gym, indoor swimming pool, and even a reception hall. The programming of the villa has been divided into two components, with the fluid geometry of the main structure merging into the hillside while the periscope inspired towers float about the ground, providing “dynamic views overlooking the forest.” Surrounded by trees that can grow up to 20 meters high, the love nest will surely provide plenty of privacy for the newlyweds.
