Giveaway: Win Tickets To Storefront’s Critical Halloween Party!
October 24, 2012
Grab your lasercut rhino mask (dweeb), it’s that time of year again! We’re talking about Halloween, of course, specifically, the annual Storefront of Art and Architecture‘s Banaloween Halloween party. And it wouldn’t be a Storefront affair without some kind of cryptic theme attached to it, eh? While last year’s costume party focused on “Banality”, this Saturday’s event will up the ante, challenging attendants to craft guises that tackle both Banality and “Metaphor”. Let the obfuscation begin!
But before you beat your head over your laptop thinking about what to wear or, god help you, you go fire up the laser cutter or 3D printer, make sure to buy your tickets! Or better yet, enter our competition to win a pair! Click through to find out how to win!
The 2012 Critical Halloween Event will take place this Saturday, October 27, 10 PM at The Autumn Bowl. The best and brightest in the biz will sure to be on hand in their best vestments. There will be an installation by NBNY and music by dj n-ron & Jon Santos, plus a live competition with prizes for the best “most provocative” costumerie. Tickets are $100 ($40 for students) and come with “unlimited cocktails” and a one-year membership to Storefront. Remember, it’s for a good cause! All proceeds will go to support Storefront’s exhibitions and programs.
But, back to the free tickets. If you want to win, e-mail us at editorial@architizer.com by Friday noon with the answer to this question: Where was the costume party thrown for the launch of the first International Congress of Modern Architecture (CIAM) held? Hint: Le Corbusier and Sigfried Giedion were in attendance.
