October 22, 2012
Need a little inspiration—or perhaps a distraction from that mind-numbing detail drawing you’re working on? The Norwegian firm TYIN Tegnestue, a humanitarian-oriented practice and winner of the 2012 European Prize for Architecture, has created an online “toolbox” that features more than two dozen words of wisdom accompanied by illustrations. Hand-drawn illustrations by Mio Oribe Ueno Stuberg accompany prescribed quotes, which are centered on issues the firm has dealt with over the years.
The advice regards practical matters:
Offers ways to clear the head:

Encourages designers to think beyond architecture:

Provides tips on forging relationships:
Encourages efficiency:

And more! Visit the TYIN Architect’s Toolbox to see additional doses of inspiration.
