Ostrich Pillow Conquers Kickstarter, Raises Nearly $200K

October 18, 2012

What’s the one thing everyone misses most from childhood? Nap time, of course! We all could use a respite from work, studying, or, in a city like New York, from other people. Now, thanks to the OSTRICH pillow, a power nap is always at hand. The Ostrich’s Kickstarter campaign, which was launched a month ago, ended today, and needless to say, the project was successfully funded…two and half times over. Continue.

Designed by kawamura-ganjavian for Studio Banana THiNGS, the portable nap-maker inspired nearly, 1,850 backers to fork over a total of $195, 094. Those who pledged $75 will receive 1 Ostrich (shipping is slated for December), while $140 got you two pillows, $325 five units, and $620 ten of the head socks to outfit you and your extended family. If you missed out on contributing to the campaign, don’t fret! All that cash money will go towards putting the pillow into production, so you may soon have a chance to purchase an Ostrich of your very own. Let the nap revolution commence!
