Meet The Mesmerizing “Iris,” An Interactive Pixel Screen

Created by the Korean collective HYBE, the aptly titled “IRIS” embodies a new way to use Microsoft Kinect, breaking with convention and tracking movements using a matrix of clear LCD screens as opposed to a traditional screen. The installation consists of 400 LCDs that form a 20×20 pixel screen, with each unit able to “display a phased opening and closing black ‘iris’ of solid and concentric circles.” Read more.
