Help Fund OSTRICH, The “Revolutionary” Portable Nap Maker

September 19, 2012

When we covered the OSTRICH pillow in January, we called it a “punchy solution for those sudden mid-workday bouts of I-can’t-take-it-anymore”. kawamura-ganjavian, the designers behind OSTRICH, say it’s a “revolutionary new product to enable easy power naps anytime, everywhere”–perfect for the five of you still clinging on to the Dymaxion kind of life or for the “social media experts” out there. The design studio developed a new prototype for Studio Banana THiNGS, and have just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their dream of putting OSTRICH into production. Continue.

OSTRICH PILLOW from STUDIO BANANA THiNGS on Vimeo. The designers hope to raise their $70,000 goal over the next month. So far, they’ve accrued nearly $15,000, a great start to be sure. If you want a chance to owning these portable napping stations, make sure to donate to the project’s Kickstarter campaign, which has a helpful FAQ section for readers worried about potential asphyxiation. Forget cat naps–think OSTRICH naps!
