Last week, we invited readers to enter our “Designing Olympics“ book giveaway. The deadline was last night, and we received a great response, flooding our email accounts with submissions from around the globe. Entrants were required to answer this question: “As some know, architectural competition was once a part of the Olympic Games. What architect won a gold medal in architecture for his design of the Olympic Stadium used in the same Olympics Games?” For anyone still wondering, the answer is: Jan Wils, who won the gold medal in architecture for his design of the 1928 Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.
