To enter, all you need to do is write a clever caption for the photo above. (Doesn’t look familiar? It’s Absolute World, a new project designed by MAD Studio and Burka Architects and located on the fringe of Toronto. Completion is slated for this November.)
Send your entries to editorial@architizer.com or tweet your caption at @Architizer. Include your name and mailing address. Entries are due by this Thursday, September 20, at 5pm EST. We’ll feature the winning captions the following day!
Our giveaway coincides with several efforts by Moleskine to take over the fine country of Canada. The company will distribute the special edition sketchbooks at select IIDEX Canada events on Thursday and Friday in Toronto. It’s also teaming up with the office furniture company Tayco to offer “sketching stations” throughout the convention center, where attendees can produce drawings that stem from their experiences at the show.
There’s more! IIDEX mailed Moleskine sketchbooks to leading Canadian architects and designers and invited them to create illustrations “based on their inspirations and design philosophy.” The “Canada Sketches with Moleskine” exhibition will be on view at IIDEX in the International Pavilion, designed by Milan- and Toronto-based architects Enrico Cleva and Sara Viarengo. You can also check out the sketches in the Moleskine Flickr gallery.
