Editor’s Pick: A Camouflage Sauna Amongst The Trees
September 11, 2012
Building: The Cadyville Sauna
Architect: Dan Hisel Architect
Location: Saranc, New York
What We Like:
The Cadyville Sauna is so perfectly tucked into the forest along the Saranac River in upstate New York, you may miss it if you blink. Covered in mirrors, the small, compact structure gleams in the sunlight while reflecting the nearby babbling stream and colorful tree branches. Appropriately enough, then, the sauna evaporates into the landscape, seamlessly becoming part of the surrounding nature. It’s the perfect place to disappear and relax!
