Always a model of innovation, Netherlands-based Studio Inussen has created a new highly adaptable table that allows for storage, organization and even playtime. Known for specializing in product design and interior furniture, producing minimalist designs crafted out of natural materials, the 45 cm square ‘PixelTable’ does not stray far from Studio Inussen’s typical aesthetics. Both simple and strong, the cube-shaped coffee table is made less ordinary by the many moveable bamboo sticks that create the structure of the piece, mimicking a life-sized Jenga game.

The table’s form can be easily manipulated by simply pushing or pulling any one or all of the bamboo sticks; doing so will produce both ledges and the voids they leave behind. Pushing objects such as books and other storage items into the center of the table displaces the blocks, creating a small table on the other side perfect for a resting cup. The blocks of the ‘PixelTable’ can be easily re-adjusted back to cube shape at anytime, allowing for a highly adaptable furniture object.
