Don Draper may have his broad-shouldered, cigarette-clinching silhouette gracing Mad Men‘s opening credits, but it is Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce’s newest partner who gets an eponymously named Freitag bag. The new Freitag F60 Joan, christened after the fictitious busty redhead who always knows what’s up, is appropriately attractive and complex: what appears to be a large purse made of Freitag’s trademark recycled truck tarps doubles as a nifty bicycle basket that will add color and punch to your handlebars. Two straps allow Joan to attach and detach with ease, and, in keeping with Freitag’s thoughtful, utilitarian design, Joan can expand and contract, accommodating everything from your miscellaneous personals to that cumbersome fresh baguette. Cycling to the market just became that much less of a Scandinavian fantasy! True to her name, Joan does it all.
