Architect Daniel Libeskind with a signed edition of his “Idea” door for TRE-Piu

As New York’s premiere center for luxury home and interior design, the Architects and Designers Building (A&D Building) hosts an annual “Opening Night” to debut the season’s latest in kitchen and bath products. With 40 showrooms and 200,000 square feet of retail space, the A&D Building has established itself as the city’s ultimate venue for home design, with “Opening Night” being a major event for professionals to gather and view the newest the industry has to offer. For this year’s event, the institution teamed up with ‘Interior Design‘ magazine for a night of celebrities, drinks, and design.

Over 30 brands set up shop on each of the A&D Building’s 11 floors last month for Design Week, with several launching special lines by guest designers including architect Daniel Libeskind, chef Eric Ripert, Holly Hunt, Jean-Marie Massaud, and Mick de Guilo among others. Libeskind was in attendance to promote his “Idea” door system for TRE-Piu, which, according to the architect, represents a virtual “reinvention of the door”. Continue.

Joining Libeskind were attendees Michelin star chef Eric Ripert, who was on hand for the unveiling of an eponymous eco-friendly kitchen line by Poggenpohl Kitchen, and designer Holly Hunt, who celebrate opening night with 20 new pieces and a series of lighting solutions added to her self-titled collection.
