Three in the Wave: Join CLOG, Another Pamphlet and Pidgin at Cooper Union Tonight for Young Journals Symposium!
April 9, 2012

We recently mentioned the release of CLOG: APPLE, which investigates the company’s influence on current architectural production. Following BIG and preceding DATA SPACE, Apple’s interest in carving out physical and virtual space is the second in a series of topics CLOG will continue to address in a pointed effort to slow the exchange of and subsequently intensify the commentary on contemporary architectural news and content. In this way, each of the periodical’s installments will, then, ” explore, from multiple viewpoints and through a variety of means a a single subject particularly relevant to architecture now.”
CLOG is the latest in a resurgent wave of small architectural publications, including “Another Pamphlet” and Pidgin“, which are invested in providing an outlet for the critical thought, ideas, and frustrations that accompany the business of practicing and assessing architecture in all its contemporary iterations. The editors of all three will join Log editor and founder Cynthia Davidson tonight for a round-table discussion about the current architectural climate and the precipitating factors behind the rise of these new (and young) architecture journals, not to mention the practical realities of operating them amid other work and social obligations and situating their efforts in the cultural fabric of a city like New York. The talk will be held tonight at The Cooper Union Rose Auditorium, 7 PM. We hope to see you there!
In other CLOG news, submissions for the fourth issue, RENDERINGS, are due by the end of the day.
