In Covers, artist Luis Urculo reminds us that you don’t need Legos to replicate your favorite Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. The video shows a woman using ordinary household items to assemble clever models of well-known works of architecture. Books, utensils, candles, matches, and old audio equipment are arranged with steady precision to give visual nods to Frank and Mies and cleverly recall works by SANAA and skyscrapers by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. What better place to put that old NOFX cassette than in a tribute to MVRDV? Here’s to finding architecture in everything.
