A settlement of igloos has cropped up in Kakslauttanen, Finland, but you probably won’t find too many ice fishing holes nearby. These cozy, warm orbs are part of a new snow-themed resort that will make spending your vacations at the beach seem like old hat. Click through for more photos!
Each igloo is built using a newly developed thermal glass, a groundbreaking feat in glass technology that is designed to stay clear even when temperatures outside drop below -30°C. Thus after taking a dip in the hot sauna and cooling off in a refreshing ice hole, vacationers are invited to relax on their luxury (zebra-print) beds and gaze skyward at the Northern Lights.
Along with its 20 glass igloos, Igloo Village comes with a snow restaurant, an ice sculpture gallery, and even a snow chapel to make for the classiest wintry wedding we can imagine!
