Hot of the presses is our new collaboration with ELLE Decor magazine, where we preview an architect feature from an upcoming issue for your perusal. We’ll be asking a couple of questions for each project and would love your input, so comment away. Exclusive set of images from ELLE Decor‘s February/March issue, featuring a Denver home by Adjaye Associates, after the jump.
Architizer asks: What are your best tricks for warming up a gallery-type environment? What furniture would you select for a home that doubles as a private art gallery? Comment below or chime in on our Facebook page.
“The ground level, which is two-thirds below grade, is primarily a gallery. The main floor has the living room, a kitchen with an adjacent den, an office, and a dining room; the next floor has three guest rooms, wherewe host visiting artists associated with the museum; the top floor is the master suite, including a gym and a study; there’s a roof deck above that.” Photo: Emily Minton-Redfield, courtesy of Adjaye Associates and ELLE Decor. Poliform chairs surround a custommade table in the dining room; paintings by Antonio Balestra (left) and Sam Scott hang on the walls, and the rug is by Cliff Young. Photo: Emily Minton-Redfield, courtesy of Adjaye Associates and ELLE Decor.
