DESIGN OBSERVER:

NEW YORK TIMES:
Nicolai Ourossoff has a nice piece on documentary filmmakers Ila Beka and Louise Lemoine, best known for Koolhaas-umentary ‘Koolhaas Houselife.’ They have since gone on make films about Frank Gehry’s Bilbao museum and Richard Meier’s Jubilee Church. If you are in New York, launch partner Storefront for Art and Architecture is screening the films at their Nolita gallery space through February 27th.
ARCHDAILY:
San Francisco is getting a new centralized transit hub, courtesy of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. It is scheduled for completion in 2014. Check out the video below or click through to ArchDaily to see more images.
The Guardian:
Speaking of transit-related developments, Dave Hill has a shot of the construction site of the London Shard- the Renzo Piano-designed skyscraper that will be the future home of Transport for London. The 1000+ foot tower is expected to be completed sometime next year.

Building Design:
BD Online breaks the news that London-based practice Muf will be designing the British pavilion at the Venice Biennale this year. Muf beat out Fat, Shumon Basar, the Office for Subversive Architecture and Rural Studio. “Muf’s approach, Two Way Traffic, will make connections and enable knowledge exchange between Venice and Britain.” The Biennale will run from August 29th to November 21st.
Talkitect:
Josh Prince-Ramus of REX recently gave a talk at TED. The ex-OMAer spoke about the Wyly Theater in Dallas, one of the first projects to appear on Architizer.
